Lot's of times when you are hunting for free samples on the web, you will be asked to supply your email address.

You should be aware when providing your email address that you may be given permission for the company who will supply the free sample to add you to their database for advertising and promotional emails.

One way to protect your primary email address, is to register another email address, with someone like hotmail, that you use only in your free sample hunting. That way your main email address won't be swamped with unwanted commercial email.
